I Only Look Like a Man

You say:  You are so easy to be with for a man.

I say:  That’s because I only look like a man.

You are quiet for a moment but decide not to pursue it.

Later we are laughing and we touch.

You note:  That unlike most men, you feel comfortable with my touch.

I say:  That’s because I only look like a man.

Your mind whirls:  What sort of person is he if he is not a man?

A woman?

Gay?

Something else?

Touchy subject.  Better not go there.  Taboo subject.  Uncomfortable.

Then comes a hug.  A full and wonderful hug.  Filled with love.  No sexual energy.

It’s good, very good.

You say: I’ve never been hugged like that from a man.

I say:  That’s because I only look like a man.

Enough!  You can’t stand it any more.

So what are you if you are not a man?

The same as you – spirit in a human experience.  Love.
